"淡浅葱" (usuasagi, "pale greenish blue") — also written "薄浅葱" — is a faded blue-green derived from asagi-iro (#00a3af), a traditional color since the Heian period that became a trend in the Edo period. Originally a description of lightly dyed asagi, the term eventually solidified as a fixed color name. Its cool, refreshing tone remains popular today as an elegant, feminine hue.
