Per the JIS standard, "萌葱色" (moe-gi) is a deep green — specifically a blue-tinted green resembling a scallion sprout. Three colors share the reading "もえぎ" (moe-gi): 萌葱 (deep green scallion), 萌黄 (#A9D159, pale yellow-green of new leaves), and 萌木 (#A7BD00, the color of newly sprouted plants). The latter two are more yellowish.
